As one of the leading housing providers in North Rhine-Westphalia, VIVAWEST manages over 120,000 apartments and provides a home for around 300,000 people. The company's goal is to offer its customers a sustainable business model. VIVAWEST thus combines economic efficiency with ecological and social responsibility for its customers, employees and the region in general.
In order to achieve its own ecological goals, VIVAWEST decided to cooperate with Planted. Planted is a non-profit company that offers compact climate solutions and reforests severely damaged forests in Germany within the framework of climate protection projects.
As part of this cooperation, a project was launched in which the agreement was made to plant a tree in the region for each digitally concluded rental contract.
In this way, VIVAWEST not only supports the region, but also improves its own CO₂ balance. Planted, on the other hand, can continue to pursue its own goals and promote reforestation. A win-win situation for both sides.
And now for the real challenge:
VIVAWEST wanted to provide its own employees with a visual representation of the most important key figures for the project in order to track the digital rental agreements. The solution, an individual dashboard, had to be clear and anything but boring.
Furthermore, the implementation of this dashboard should be as simple as possible. This should relieve the company's IT department in order not to lose focus on higher priority tasks.
Another requirement for the realisation of the dashboard was that updated or new data sets are automatically imported and the planted trees are visualised in a playful way.
The requirements were perfect for using no-code tools, such as Bubble.io and Make (Integromat).
We designed the desired dashboard for the above-mentioned problem on behalf of VIVAWEST. For this, we again needed the two high-performance no-code platforms Bubble.io and Make (Integromat).
1. bubble.io - The heart of this web app is the "drag-and-drop" tool bubble. This provides the future dashboard and enables the playful presentation of the collected data at a glance. The whole thing works according to the modular principle. What sounds like a restriction at first is absolutely not the case with Bubble. You have full control over the design, functions and processes of the application at all times. You can define step by step what should happen next when a user interacts with the created application.
By the way - if you want to learn more about bubbles, we have the perfect solution to quench your thirst for knowledge. Our Bubble Masterclass. With it, you'll learn all the skills to be able to create individual and complex web applications yourself - without programming knowledge.
2. Make (Integromat) - a flexible toolset that combines the functions of the above systems in a single overall process and can be modified and optimized as required. Make can be used to link a wide variety of applications via interfaces and exchange data between them.
We also offer an "all-inclusive" package for Make in the form of a Masterclass, which you can find here. Learn how to link applications and systems and automate processes yourself.
In order to be able to realise such a dashboard, a uniform but also adaptable process is needed, which is carried out automatically in the background. In practice, this means concretely:
VIVAWEST reports are processed automatically via Make, read out and stored in Bubble's own database.
VIVAWEST receives an individually customisable and visually appealing dashboard on which all key figures are displayed in two categories and compared with each other. For example, the current figures are compared to the previous year.
And most important: weekly automated updates on the KPIs!
This is an absolute added value for reporting!
And from our point of view?
Within a few weeks, we were able to present VIVAWEST with a functional dashboard through no-code applications, which could be directly integrated into the existing corporate environment.
