Question: if I want to pass on a working CMS to a client, what steps need to be taken with exported code to do this? Does this code still have a CMS editing function or do I then need to import/maintain the code into another CMS? Which tool would then be suitable for this?
Is the Webflow hosting / CMS also available from providers and servers in Switzerland / Germany?

Answer: I would always recommend using the Webflow CMS in conjunction with Webflow Hosting. Once you start using it, you won't want to leave because it's so easy and editable 😊 Once Webflow comes out with an update, it's automatically available in the designer for all projects. You don't have to do anything for it. No plugins to update like in wordpress. No uploading via FTP. No bug hunting or wondering why something is no longer compatible... You always have the latest version of Webflow Designer and Webflow CMS.

You cannot use or export the Webflow CMS on your own server. Everything that is created / linked with the Webflow CMS Collections will not be exported with a code export!

Webflow uses Amazon AWS services for hosting. They are distributed worldwide and individually depending on the location. For us in Germany, this is currently a server in Ireland, so in the EU.
